We will board the boat April 19th from Alesund, Norway, (island way up on northwest coast, west of Trondheim). The best way to get there is to fly to Oslo, please land on the 18th so we can all leave the morning of the 19th, catch the train to Alesund/Andalsnes. The total round trip train price is roughly $70 USD, I will get a count and can purchase the tickets ahead of time for those who choose this option. The other option is to fly to Andalsnes, if you are using miles, it might be no more money to do this BUT the train ride is out of this world from what I hear and a fun time. I have located some great rooms in Oslo, right downtown for the night of the 18th and 26th but will need a count to reserve rooms. I know some people spoke of friends and family in the area so let me know your thoughts on those accommodation and if you’d like to be included. We will get off the boat the 26th and head back down on the train to Oslo for flights out, sight seeing in Oslo or many other adventures in the Oslo area.
I have 2 sailboats reserved for our trip from High Latitude Adventures, they each sleep 6, with a cook and skipper. Everything is covered once we get on the boat; accommodations, meals, guiding, fuel, etc...They will cook our meals while we relax and drink wine on deck! The cost includes this 7 day period, you are responsible for your plane fare, train fare and lodging & meals in Oslo. We will get wine, beers, etc... Before we get on the boat and I will arrange that with the skippers. I will reserve all of these things ahead of time to make it easy but there will be these additional costs so you’ll need to bring some money for those things. I will deal with the hotel ahead of time and add that cost if that is easier for you.

We will hike and ski each day and will have a rough plan as to locations each day, weather permitting. I will be documenting the trip extensively with video and stills and will give everyone access to all the photos for your own personal use or slide shows, etc... We will be traveling in backcountry terrain and will be briefed on avalanche conditions and have an avalanche expert on the trip to lead beacon searches and route finding throughout the week.
